Corrosion protection through cavity sealing with SATA

Oldtimers and classic cars carry plenty of history as well as all the love and care that has gone into maintaining them. Owners of classic cars prioritise maintaining their value, of course. Corrosion is the absolute enemy of each of these gems, especially when it comes to cavities, for example in doors, rocker panels or mudguards, where water tends to collect. The sealing of cavities is intended to sustainably prevent the advance of corrosion.

It’s not just classic car enthusiasts who rely on cavity preservation for their vehicles; new car owners may also want to protect their new prize against rust, especially if it is subjected to plenty of heavy use.

Preserving cavities with wax, oil or grease is a common method to protect vehicles against corrosion. Reaching the rust problem areas in a sustainable way is often difficult. To make this possible, SATA offers robust and powerful preservation equipment and spray probes for the application of various materials for cavity preservation and underbody protection.

Cavity preservation through the application of corrosion protection

For the application of cavity preservation as well as wax materials rich in solids, the surfaces to be protected need to be wetted uniformly and finely. It’s because of this that SATA units work with pressurised material and air atomisation. Different probes make it possible to apply the material in hard-to-reach areas, for example in doors or mudguards.
